Reinsurance Module successfully implemented
The client had been a Major Insurance System user for over seven years but the reinsurance function was never used. Instead, premium and loss reinsurance was calculated manually. We reviewed their reinsurance needs and identified facultative and treaty requirements as well as a need for specialized inter-company reporting. One of the main requirements was the ability to cede premiums based on earned premium (insurance system only cedes based on written premium).

We assisted in the design and set up of a Major Insurance System tables. We designed and implemented custom software to cede premiums based on earned premium and modified programs to meet user requirements. We designed and built custom premium and loss summary files to view the ceded data in ways not supported by existing systems reports. As part of the implementation, the data was balanced to the manually calculated data.
